LAKE HAVASU CITY, Arizona – The Hangar 24 AirFest & 2nd Anniversary Celebration at the Lake Havasu City Airport is proud to announce two new spectacular appearances at the Saturday, October 27 show, including the headliner: An A-10 “Warthog” from Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, Arizona.


Also on the schedule will be an appearance from a B-17 “Flying Fortress,” for attendees not only to board and tour, it will be available to carry passengers on short flights over Lake Havasu City. The B-17 on hand is named “Sentimental Journey” and is one of just eight still in flight today of the 12,731 originally built. “Climb aboard” tours will take place Oct. 27. Rides will commence the morning of Oct. 28, before “Sentimental Journey” returns home. The A-10 “Warthog” and the B-17 “Flying Fortress,” will join a number of previously announced acts, with even more exciting announcements expected. Pilot Jon Melby will fly the Hangar 24 Muscle Bi-Plane, while other civilian pilots like Vicky Benzing, Greg Colyer, Kent Pietsch will fill the sky. Bill Braak will drive the “Smoke-N-Thunder” Jet Car, while former U-2 pilot Jon “Huggy” Huggins will return as the AirFest announcer and “Ringmaster.”

This year’s AirFest will have a new Kids Zone to keep the youngest members of the family entertained, while an expanded area of food vendors will be on hand. There will be a Beer Festival with over 20 local and regional breweries invited, as well as multiple pouring stations of Hangar 24 Craft Brewing beer, with a wide range of styles from Aventura Mexican Lager to Orange Wheat, Betty IPA and specialty releases to be revealed at a later date.


The “Red Not Chili Peppers,” an acclaimed “Red Hot Chili Peppers” tribute band, will headline a varied live music lineup.
