It is never easy to improve on a crowd-pleasing original, but the Hangar 24 AirFest & 2nd Anniversary Celebration at the Lake Havasu City Airport is going there with an expanded roster of aviation performers, as well as activities for the entire family. Set to take place Saturday, Oct. 27, the Hangar 24 AirFest & 2nd Anniversary Celebration now has a presenting sponsor: Anderson Toyota.
Just added are the Flying Warbirds, who will bring a P-51 and a T-28 to the skies of Lake Havasu City. The P-51, known as a “Mustang,” was put to heavy use as a long-range fighter and fighter-bomber in both World War II and the Korean War. The T-28, known as a “Trojan,” was a military trainer and light attack aircraft that experienced its heyday in the 1950s and 1960s. The Flying Warbirds will join Jon Melby in the Hangar 24 Muscle Bi-Plane, pilots Vicky Benzing, Greg Colyer and Bill Braack in his Smoke-N-Thunder Jet Car that can reach speeds of 400 mph. More exciting aviation performers are expected to be announced soon.Read More
